Although, that shouldn't affect the fitting issues you describe, I'm just thinking of things that sometimes get missed in AR builds that make things tighter/tougher. Then clean the whole gun again, especially the BCG (don't just spray it down with lube, strip it properly, clean it, and re-lube it).Īre the mags brand new/never used? If they are, and it sounds like your gun has a super tight fit, this could again be a small breaking problem. Is the BCG a NM BCG? If so, you will need to do the above stripping/degreasing, and then put it through a 100-150rd break-in period to get everything to mate up/fit together because of the super tight tolerances. Did you lightly lube the buffer tube and spring?īefore you put the factory new BCG in, did you strip it down, clean all the grease off and then lube it up? I can't insert or removerthe takedown pins without beating them out with a hammer and punch. I beat, wiggled, banged, cuss until I got the front together and the takedown pin beat in. I had to beat the end plate down towards the reciever and then tighten the castle nut to make the end plate flush against the reciever.Īfter I finish the lower build I try to mate the Spikes upper to the Seekins lower but they wouldn't mate. As I'm installing the buffer tube assembly, the end plate wouldn't freely slide up and down the buffer tube. ![]()
